Abortion has been one of the hottest debates for many years now. Abortion is the process of taking the life of an innocent unborn child resting harmlessly in their mothers womb. Abortion is known to be a sensitive topic, but like the conservative political commentator Ben Shapiro said, â€Å"Facts dont care about your feelings† (qtd. in Berrien). Pro-choice supporters deny the facts that abortion is wrong and disgusting. Abortion is an evil act and it should be made illegal. The most controversial parts of the abortion debate is when life actually begins. A human life begins at the moment of conception. Biologically, the baby has life because of the growth that is occuring. The baby has enough spinal reflexes, in just two months where it can feel pain. The baby will try to position its body away from these vicious tools trying to take its life. In some cases, the baby will open its mouth and try its best to scream in pain. During the abortion process, anesthesia is given to not only the mother, but also the baby. This was made a requirement by the Fetal Pain Prevention Act of 1998 (Fact #13). If someone was trying to kill one all of a sudden one that would be called, murder. If it happens to a baby in the womb, it is also murder. It is not magically a right that the mother has. It does not matter whether the person is 8 weeks old or 64 years old. Killing another human is murder regardless. Over one million innocent babies have their lives taken away from them every year. The most common reasons these mothers give for having an abortion is because they simply just do not want a baby. These mothers decide to take another life, because they do not want to take the responsibility. It does not matter if it was a mistake or not. Abortion is not a contraception. Pregnancy is a risk taken when one decides to have sexual intercourse (Pamf). It is a known fact that most contraceptives do not work one hundred percent of the time.
